Since it is Halloween, it's the perfect time to explore the concept of fear!   Sit back, unwrap your favorite Halloween candy and enjoy today's show.  We will be discussing:

  • what is fear and why do we both avoid it AND seek it?
  • what might be possible if you expand your capacity for feeling fear?
  • tips for allowing fear
    • walk the path with someone/hold someone's hand - we don't have to do it alone!
    • allow it, feel it, notice what it's close to (like excitement) - possibly enjoy it?
    • remind yourself of something you used to fear but you aren't anymore; we forget how brave we actually have been in the past!
    • redefine what fear means - maybe it means you are taking worthy risks, you are trying something new, you are our of your comfort zone.  When we reframe fear, it's no longer something to run away from or try to avoid - it simply means we are stretching and growing - maybe fear is the adult version of growing pains!
    • where do you have choice and control?
