I Timothy 6:17-19
I. Trust God
God is our refuge and strength. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea.
With the Lord on my side, I do not fear.
Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.
II. Offer Gratitude
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
III. Live a life of service and generosity to others
Financial Planning Principles
1. Pay your tithe and offering first. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
2. Create a budget and track your expenses. Proverbs 27:23-24
3. Simplify your lifestyle (live below your means). Matthew 6:19-33
4. Establish an emergency fund. Proverbs 21:20
5. Pay off your credit cards, use cash/debit cards for purchases, and use credit wisely. Proverbs 22:7
6. Practice long-term savings and investing habits. I Timothy 6:9-12; Luke 14:28
