"Living Waters"

Not all waters are created the same.

In Jewish law, certain rituals require the use of "living waters" -- water that flows from a live source. There are specific conditions that govern these waters, including the degree to which the water continuously flows. If there is any breach in the flow -- even temporarily, even infrequently -- the waters are no longer considered "living."

The Kabbalists draw a parallel between these waters and our lives. Our existence, too, flows from a Source that is certainly "alive." But how consciously do we connect to our Source? That is a question only we can answer...
