One of the challenges that Christians face in today's society is the pressure to conform to the standards
of the world. The world tells us that we should be tolerant, open-minded, and politically correct. It tells us that we should not judge others or stand up for what we believe. It tells us that there is no absolute truth or moral authority. It tells us that everything is relative and subjective.
But as Christians, we know that this is not the case. We know that there is a God who created us and loves us. We
know that He has revealed His will and His word to us. We know that He has given us commandments to follow and promises to claim. We know that He has sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins and rise from the dead. We know that He has called us to be His witnesses and His ambassadors in the world.
So how do we respond to the world's message? Do we compromise our faith and values? Do we keep silent and avoid conflict? Do we go along with the crowd and seek approval? Or do we stand firm and speak the truth in love? Do we resist the devil and his schemes? Do we fight the good fight and contend earnestly for the faith?
The Bible gives us clear answers to these questions. It tells us that we are not of the world, but we are in the world. It tells us that we are the salt of the earth and the light of the
world. It tells us that we are to put on the whole armor of God and wield the sword of the Spirit. It tells us that we are to beware of false prophets and false teachers. It tells us that we are to test everything by the word of God. It tells us that we are to love God and keep His commandments. It tells us that we are to love our neighbors and share the gospel with them.
This is not an easy task. It requires courage, conviction, and commitment. It may cost us our reputation, our relationships, or even our lives. But it is worth it. Because we know that God is with us and for us. We know that He will reward us and bless us. We know that He will use us and honor us. We know that He will give us victory and
glory.
Let us not be deceived or intimidated by the world. Let us not be gullible or spineless. Let us not be lukewarm or complacent. Let us be faithful and courageous. Let us be bold and passionate. Let us be wise and discerning. Let us be loyal and loving. Let us be Christians.
