What's happening listeners? DMN8 the day. God, don't that song gets you pumped up, DMN8 the day, that's what we about to do, cause that's what we're about to do. I'm gonna give you some takeaways when you hit that inevitable slump, some of you guys have never been in sales. You start a business and realize you're a salesperson. Cause you have to be a salesperson. It's like a hunter, you kill what you eat. Right? Well, the same thing in business, you have to take on those sales skills. So the inevitable thing that happens to every salesperson is a slump. So how do we overcome the slump? Well, that's what I'm gonna teach you over these next 10 episodes, Overcoming the Slump. So the first thing about overcoming the slump is not panicking. Don't you dare panic. When a slump hits or something happens that punches you in the gut, hits you in the nose, smacks you around. The first thing you have to do is just pause, take a long deep breath and relax. I am not a baseball fan, but I used to enjoy watching the Yankees, especially when Derek Jeter played and they were in their World Series hunt, and Derek Jeter inevitably had some hitting slumps, some batting slumps, every great player goes into a slump. I remember Michael Jordan having a shooting slump, Kobe Bryant having a shooting slump, right? So let's be honest, basketball is a real sport, baseball is just a little hobby, right? All you baseball fans, I just p*ssed you all off. Well, don't worry, stick around, I'll p*ss everybody else off too, but there's always a slump and you have to have a process to get out of the slump. The first thing you do is you pause, take a break, relax, chill the f*ck out. Right? The next thing you do is figure out where in your process you're missing the boat. So how can you do that? Well, listen to yourself sell. That's the first thing I recommend in trying to overcome the slump is to start recording your sales calls, listen to how you sell. I know that, if I back to my 20-year-old self, selling, I missed a lot of opportunities because I was more interested in answering their question and I knew I had the solution instead of just listening, letting them tell me what was wrong and then providing a solution. I already knew the solution. So let me tell you, but they wanna be heard. Right? So I figured that out throughout my process of just shut the f*ck up. And I know that if I'm not converting, then I'm probably not listening. I'm just telling. I'm just selling. Well, don't panic, know that there's something that's wrong, and start to investigate your process. Start at the beginning and work through it. Some way, somewhere through that process, you'll find while you're slumping, you'll get your mojo back, and you'll DMN8 the day.
