the "tool" I needed to help myself;  practical, easy to read, helpful
I absolutely recommend Overcoming Your Funk (OYF)!  It is easy-to-read and easy-to-apply to your life.  Like the title says, it is practical, but not only is it practical, it is HELPFUL!  Getting out of my personal funk was something that I knew I couldn't do alone.  It started with a single decision -- to look for outside assistance, tools, and advice to help me help myself.  I found all three in this book!  My funk wasn't the lowest that I have been but I certainly needed a kick start to climb out of my "black hole".  I am grateful that this book has given some more tools in my tool chest of managing through life (and a new funky language to describe how I was feeling).  Next time I start to notice that I am feeling a bit "low", or in a funk, I will re-read OYF.  I think that the next time I read it, it will help me to STAY OUT of a potential funk!

...have lost my motivation.

It is a book I am keeping in the front of my bookshelf and plan to share with my friends and family when they experience some tough times.  IT IS THE TOOL THAT I NEEDED TO HELP MYSELF.
Worth Reading
Inspirational with concrete steps to help each person in a funk! Clearly expressed advice with personal examples. A worthwhile read for us all.
Don't bother.
This book is not that great.  If you've read any other self help books, this is like a "starter" book.
