In this episode of OverTime: The Podcast, we had the pleasure of hosting Oscar Chabrat, the owner of Praesidus Watch Co! We kicked things off with our classic wrist checks. Oscar gave us a sneak peek at the Unreleased Titanium Rec Spec Praesidus Watch. Praka had the Formex Essence 39, a loaner from a friend of a show aka Praka’s best mate! Justin sported the classic G Shock Square DW5610!
Oscar gave us an insight into how he got into watches, his journey from working with his father and one day working as a mountain guide in the Himalayas in Southern China forged his path towards eventually meeting Tom Rice, an American private in the 101st Airborne Division of the US Army in WW2; famous for his sacrifice in the beaches of Normandy who was the catalyst for the first model the A11 Tom Rice. Oscar also goes through the brand and how it has evolved and the possible directions they will take in the next coming years!
In our 'Something Interesting' segment, Oscar told us about a Company Commander from the US
Special Force who contacted him to tell him how he has gifted his Praesidus Watch to the Company, and each of the soldiers that jumps with it, signs the log with the watch. And he’s now setting a tradition!
