Paul wrote the book for the church in Rome during his third missionary journey, prior to his imprisonment in Jerusalem. His purpose was to demonstrate how we are justified by recognizing Jesus as our Lord and Savior and acknowledging His resurrection from the grave. He aimed for both Jews and Gentiles to come together as one church, serving Him and the Father through the Holy Spirit.
