The book of Chronicles is a post-exilic book that was authored with the aim of giving hope to the remnants of the tribe of Judah after 75 years of exile in Babylon; the hope that God had not forgotten them, and His promise of the Messiah was still in place. It is a great book to study, and it gives hope even to believers today that if God kept His promise then, He will keep His promise now.
