Activision Blizzard dropped a bombshell of an announcement on Friday at Blizzcon detailing Overwatch's impending sequel.

Overwatch 2 will introduce a unique multiplayer structure that will keep fans of the game around as Overwatch players won't need to buy the sequel to keep playing.

The biggest introduction is a new PvE mode designed to build out the Overwatch lore.
