The Washington Capitals had a great week that featured more highs than lows. Though their shutout loss to the Los Angeles Kings was a pretty deep valley, the Caps did secure wins against San Jose and Anaheim.

This last week was the last long road trip of the season and probably the Caps easiest week for the rest of the season. The rest of the schedule is filled with Eastern Conference opponents and it won't be an easy go. Also, Alexander Ovechkin grabbed a goal out west which means he's only got 8 to go to break Wayne Gretzky's record.
