The Ambition Project Show With Deirdre Sanborn

Ownership and Relationships in Business

Listen Later

In this episode of the Ambition Project Show, I decided to switch things up a little bit and provide you with an interview I did with both Barbara Gill, a mentor of mine, and announcer Doc Gallagher at 620AM KEXB Radio. I had a blast having the roles reversed and being interviewed as a guest. Barbara is a successful business owner, a member of the Women-Owned Business Council. Aside from being a radio announcer, Doc is also a successful business owner, CPA, and author, with lots of wisdom and insight to share.

In this episode, we talk about how business owners can avoid the pitfalls that many new businesses experience and the secrets to being a successful woman (or man!). Specifically, we discuss the differences between an entrepreneur vs. a wantrepreneur and why having a winning/positive mindset as well as a strong financial savings plan is part of a business owner's success. Of course, money isn't everything, but knowing you have financial security after all the work you put into your business creates stability and is one of the contributing factors to happiness. As Doc Gallagher says on the show, "You are responsible for where you're getting to next."
