061: OWNING THE HOLIDAY SEASON

How is this time of year working out for you?

Many people LOVE this time; Everything is so beautiful, Xmas is upon us, and, most importantly, we get to spend a lot of time with our loved ones. The thing is - for many entrepreneurs or location independent people out there, this is the hardest time of the year; We still have projects to finish, stuff we don't have to but want to do before the year ends.

So how do we keep up with work, family and fun time, all mashed into the same season?

I'm a big believer in deadlines; Not only because they make the project real, but also because they trigger our inner instinct for winning and activate Parkinson's law. The best way to keep up with everything is to create self-imposed deadlines on the projects you want to finish before 2015... and reward yourself with family time! This way, you are making sure you plan both in your schedule, and that you make every instinct you have to work for you.
