Women shouldn’t downplay femininity in the office; they should use it as an asset
Now more than ever, women are taking the lead of teams, companies, and governments. And yet, in our day to day lives, we continue the struggle against some still very firmly ingrained misconceptions about what we can contribute to the world of business. In society and business, we’ve been learning how important it is to welcome diverse experiences and perspectives. But this isn't about simply having the "right" numbers of women vs. men in the workplace. For you and me as women, this means embracing our femininity daily and exploring why it matters at work.
Today’s guest Nancy Michielli is doing just that. Having worked in the Oil and Gas industry for 25 years, Nancy noticed that having fun and being flirty in the workplace was frowned upon. Yet, her success all came from using her Feminine Energy while laughing and smiling, motivating her teams to achieve greatness.
She easily kicks off her heels to slip on coveralls and work boots over her dress as she goes to chat with the guys in the refinery. Loving to be the least knowledgeable person on the team, allows her to lead with ease, creating corporate savings as great as $10 million in one year.
Nancy is on a mission to breakdown masculine stereotypes that “hard work and discipline” are the only way to succeed in business and life. She helps women reclaim their feminine nature so they have the freedom to be fun, flirty, and fabulous creating the life they desire. Nancy is a certified Rapid Transformational Therapy Practitioner, Consulting Hypnotist, Holistic Life, Career and Executive Coach, Canadian Sommelier, Chemical Engineer, and Amateur Ballroom Dancer.
Nancy Michieli’s new program Luv2bMe inspires women to be more Fun, Flirty, and Fabulous in Life and Business.
