Owning Your Success and Failure in Equal Measure...

Listen Later

We all cherish that feeling when we accomplish something. But how do we feel, and more importantly how do we react when things go wrong. Today's guest is someone who has experienced both; the highs and the lows and she has some sage advice for how we should deal with both success and failure in equal measure.

Dale Stafford started her own business in 1980 and under her leadership it became one of the UK’s leading and best performing training providers.

In 2006 Dale successfully sold that business to a private equity company.

Over more than 40 years in business, Dale’s earned many accolades, amongst them being named by Business Insider in their inaugural list of the North West's Top 100 Women of Influence (2015) and recognition from the Prime Minister for her personal contribution to further education and skills (2006). She has also held a number of Chair and Non-Executive posts in both private and public sector organisations

Dale now works purely on recommendation with business clients - owners, directors, leadership and management teams and their people - particularly in SMEs (typical range of turnover £250,000 to £40,000,000)

* who have an aspiration to grow
 * solve particular problem/s that are getting in the way of that aspiration * or where owners are looking to successfully exit the business

Dale doesn’t blow her own trumpet and says she prefers her clients to do that for her with their own comments and experience of the impact she’s had on them personally and their business.

In 2012 Dale wrote a book “The Book of Job - the business of people for people in business” which takes a refreshing, wry and thought-provoking look at the founding principles for success. (Available on Amazon)

“The Book of Job by Dale Stafford is a business classic & must have for all managers, strategists, marketers & business people
who are interested in a people-based approach to success!”
KEVIN STEIN, Co-Founder, Source TV, Hollywood

“Just read ‘The Book of Job’ by Dale Stafford & it’s amazing!”

RACHEL ELNAUGH, Dragons’ Den

Dale’s also much in demand for speaking engagements and facilitating conferences.
