On March 25th 2024, Damon Stern was shot dead by a police officer responding to a call at his home. His wife had called stating that he was suicidal and armed with a knife. According to the video, the responding officer called Damon out of the house. Damon approached the officer with a gun. The officer discharged 4 shots while back up responded with a taser. Police worked swiftly to get EMS to the scene but Damon passed away from the gun shot wounds. On 09/19/24, the body cam of the incident was released to the family who made it public.
