Growing up in a family who admired all aspect of sports, Pace knew he had to be involved with it as his job whatever the costs. After starting as an intern with the Carolina Hurricanes, Pace found his way accepting a job with the Washington Capitals where his southern hospitality earned him 10 minutes late to his first big meeting and a table full of cold biscuits that no one wanted. Things smoothed out and he found his way back in Raleigh working for the team he's always loved.
