As adopted children of God, we aspire to be holy and to become more like Jesus. However, at times, this process can feel like hard work. While some seasons may be more challenging than others, it’s important to remember the core essence of the gospel: we strive for holiness because we belong to Christ. We do not pursue righteousness to earn salvation; rather, because we are already saved. This truth sets us free to continue pressing on in our journey of faith.

Being adopted by God into His family means becoming foreigners to our old life. Although this transition is challenging, as our past selves and sins call us back, the Scriptures remind us that we are a new creation. We must embrace a new spiritual diet to help us mature and let our old selves fade away. By accepting both our adoption and foreigner status, we bring glory to God."
