Aaron Rodgers looked human against the San Francisco 49ers. He completed 22 of 32 for 224 yards and one touchdown. The offensive line struggled to keep the 49ers front seven out of the backfield. Officially, the 49ers only recorded three sacks but Rodgers was constantly moving around and avoiding pressure. Although the 49ers defense held the Packers below their season average of 32 points, it wasn't enough as the Packers delivered a solid 17-3 victory. The Packers improve to 4-0 while the 49ers drop to 1-3. 

The Packers defense held Carlos Hyde to 20 yards. He entered the game as the league's third leading rusher and his longest run was seven yards. Statistically, the Packers run defense ranks 21st in the league. However, this is the thrid week in a row that they have shut down a top running back. B.J. Raji and company won at the point of attack and didn't allow the 49ers to control the line of scrimmage. The rushing yards allowed were inflated with Kaepernick notching 57 yards. With no running game, the 49ers called on Kaepernick and the passing game. Numerous times the ball fell short or sailed out of bounds. Kaepernick only completed 13 of 25 passes for 160 yards. With their ears pinned back, the Packers recored six sacks.

Eddie Lacy rushed 18 times for 90 yards. Much of his damage came in the fourth quarter when the Packers needed to get first downs and keep the clock running. John Kuhn made his first carry this year count. Kuhn surged in from one yard out; in the third quarter, to give the Packers a 14-3 lead. Mason Crosby drilled a 31 field goal to increase the lead to 17-3. There was no scoring in the fourh quarter, and the 49ers posed little threat all day.
