September 4th was the deadline for teams to set their 53 man roster.  Some veteran names were included, in the final cuts. Some notable names include, Tim Tebow, Reggie Wayne, Matt Cassel, Monte Ball, and former Green Bay Packer James Jones.
Jones was the Packers third round selection, in 2007.  In seven seasons, he accumulated 310 receptions, and 37 touchdowns.  Jones became a hot commodity, in 2012 when he found the end zone 14 times.  The Oakland Raiders signed Jones to a free agent contract, in 2014.  After spending one season, he became expendable when the Raiders drafted Amari Cooper, and signed Michael Crabtree.  Jones was among those cut, and the Packers wasted no time bringing Jones back, after putting Jordy Nelson on the injured reserve list.
