Happy Palm Sunday Folks! This episode will give an overview of 3 more points respecting the duties of the "Priest" in the Old Testament fashion and its parallels to us today as New Testament serving Christians. They are: burning of the incense (or intercessory prayer), trimming of the lamps (or shining as a light and faithful witness to believers and unbelievers), and purifying the unclean (setting boundaries within the Church for the sake of holiness). The instruction to keep the lamps always burning links to praying without ceasing whilst imagery of the candlestick (or even lampstands) reminds us both of local churches in revelations having lampstands before our Heavenly Father and urges us to heed the challenge that Jesus set before us to glorify God through our good works that proceed from our salvation. With this in mind and on this Palm Sunday the New Testament servant of God may also challenge himself by reflecting on his or her prayer life and assessing to what extent is it; "praying without ceasing?"
