Hello brethren, in this episode we continue to discuss the requirements of the New Testament minister. We begin by emphasising what it means to be called by God, not man, or of one's sole desire, with examples of how figures like Paul, and Jeremiah acknowledged how they were called or separated to be an apostle (Paul), and prophet (Jeremiah) from the womb - they were set apart. We position this 'God's not man's call' with the mention that Jesus made when he said that many are called, but few chosen and with the apostle Peter's ringing words that we are to 'give diligence to make your calling, and election sure.' How sure are we - whether in full or part-time formal ministry - that we have taken the discerning care to attest that God is behind our ministry and that we are executing His perfect will through it?
