Paige, an Embry-Riddle meteorology graduate from 2020, shares her journey through the world of weather forecasting. She has realized that meteorology offers far more diverse career opportunities than she initially realized, ranging from aviation to environmental science and fire weather forecasting. Her current role at the National Weather Service in Flagstaff involves creating detailed forecast packages, writing specialized content for different audiences, launching weather balloons, and releasing severe weather warnings during monsoon season. Paige enjoys the challenge of adapting communication styles for pilots, fire services, and the general public. Her advice to current students is to take time to explore possibilities in their major and enjoy the college experience as much as they can.
