Balinese philanthropist and teacher Ibu Sari shares with us her harrowing yet incredibly inspiring story. It is a story that begins with a childhood tinged with oppression, exile, and depression, but transforms beautifully into a tale of unbelievable strength and strong will. Ibu Sari is a woman who chose not to remain hindered by her intense personal hardships. Instead, through founding the Kim Women's Center - a safe haven for ostracized Balinese women - she uses them as vehicles that enable women to shake their burdens and rediscover the strength and independence that was so unfairly stripped from them.
