In this podcast I talk about how difficult communication is between anyone who seems to be the cause of pain for you. What would happen if you were asked to give a speech and while you were walking up about to deliver it, you totally stubbed your toe? Would you be able to talk right away? Would you have the senses to say everything as planned? Not at all...you'd definitely need some time to compose yourself.
Same goes for our emotional pain. We just may not have the words in the moment when we are "triggered" into feeling a lot of pain. So, I offer some helpful strategies around this, so you can communicate better with your coparent, spouse, child, coworker...or WHOMEVER!
