In early April, Pakistan underwent a change of power, initiated by a vote of no confidence in parliament. These events momentarily catapulted the country into the media headlines. Recently, both public interest and seemingly political appetite to address the situation in Pakistan and its neighbour Afghanistan have waned considerably. This stands against the development that Pakistan has to deal with millions of Afghan refugees, not least since the Taliban regained power in Afghanistan. Note that its relations with its neighbouring country shape the developments in the region. How does it deal with the short- and medium-term impacts of Afghani refugees? In general, what challenges does Pakistan face? Finally, how does HSF support Pakistan's efforts to address these challenges?
