There was a lot going on 2,000 years ago! There are some periods of time of which we could say, "Then not very much happened." Or maybe those are just the afternoons I dozed off in History class. Around AD 30 Herod was expanding the Jewish temple; Rome was occupying the country; religious and political parties vied for dominance. There was a certain itinerant preacher raising a stir, and as always, some very bad people in the shadows. Let's travel back there, with Jim.
