Can you imagine what must have been going through Jesus’ mind as he sat on the back of a young donkey and made his way to Jerusalem the Sunday before his Crucifixion?  We call it the triumphal entry, The triumphal entry of a man who is riding toward his death.

A week before the Friday of his death, Jesus approached Jerusalem.  He finds himself in Bethany.  A small village to the east of Jerusalem.  His friends live there.  Mary, Martha, and a man who had been dead a few weeks prior.  You’ll remember him by the name of Lazarus.
