On Palm Sunday, we enter into the Passion Week where the events leading up to Jesus' time on the cross unfold. As he enters the city, Jesus' words to the Pharisees echo the words of the Psalmist, "The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone..." As Jesus reminds the Pharisees of their failure to comprehend and engage the kingdom that God intended to create, Jesus reveals that He will come to accomplish what they could not. The Psalmist's words serve as a reminder for all God's people that "HIS faithful love endures forever!" It is in our weakest moments of distress and chaos that God reaches out to us and through His own strength and authority defeats the powers that seek to destroy us. With our salvation also comes refuge and an assurance that if God is on our side, we have no need to fear anything else! If our strength and assurance for victory comes from God then God becomes the song of our life and therefore we have reason to praise for, "This is the Lord's doing, It is marvelous in our eyes." "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever!"
