Jesus rides into Jerusalem on a donkey headed for victory, but only He knows what sort of victory it will be. John shows different crowds converging to see Lazarus and the one who raised him from the dead. Jesus marks this as the hour that has arrived not to show Himself as the one who brought one man out of the grave, but as one who will go to the grave Himself and bring everyone out.
