Today we celebrate Palm (Passion) Sunday, the day when Jesus rode into Jerusalem as Israel's Messiah. But what kind of Messiah did he intend to be? If we do not ponder long and hard on this so that we hear clearly what Matthew and the other evangelists are telling us, we are likely to miss how the kingdom comes on earth as in heaven.
