As he rode into Jerusalem, Jesus knew exactly what he was doing, what was going to happen and why. He was acknowledging that he was the Messiah - not a poltical hero, but a savior who would die a bloody death to pay for our sins, and rise again to give us the sure hope of eternal life. That means we must resist the temptation to make him our political hero rather than our savior.
