After extending the deadline twice in September and December last year, the income tax department seems to be in no mood to further extend the date for linking PAN card with Aadhaar card.

The linking of Aadhaar with the PAN is expected to help fintech startups to complete KYC without PAN cards.

In a tweet, on Monday (March 16), the income tax (IT) department announced that the last date to link PAN with Aadhaar is March 31, 2020.

For linking PAN with Aadhaar via SMS, one needs to send a message to either 567678 or 56161.
