Panasonic show the NPM - G Mounter Series
The new printer from Panasonic has a 10 stencil automatic changeover to cater for the high-mix market. It also has an automatic paste changeover and a paperless cleaning system. The printer also has a viscosity meter which allows the operator to alter the temperature for optimum results.
On the mounter side Panasonic have introduced a new platform with chip placement accuracy of 15um. The weight of the head has been reduced to improve speed. The system has sensors monitoring trends and offering predicitive maintenance.
The key new technology on dispaly is the self-feeding feeder, where operators feed in the tape and it automatically splices the tape onto the previous reel. This is available in a range of different tape widths.
