Taken captive by the pandas who hijacked their airplane, Jack and Carrie find themselves in Kashmir, in the remote city of Gilgit, now part of the newly conquered nation of Pandastan. They are introduced to several of their captors and begin to learn about the lore and intentions of the pandas.
