It's socially over, but what about medically. We are going to Speak It with Dr. Keidra Welch-Spencer. She currently practices at Iberia Medical Center Family Practice in New Iberia, Louisiana. Dr. Spencer is a board-certified family medicine specialist with a passion for patient advocacy and education. Her love for her community inspires her to diligently guide the next generation into their God-ordained positions just as the generation before shaped and molded her.
This conversation made it very clear that COVID19 is not going anywhere anytime soon. It was full of sound medical advice for staying well and practicing safety during this time. She shared why black people are at risk for COVID. Dr. Spencer's bedside manner was refreshing. She could teach a class on doctor to patient communication based on the informative and simplistic way in which she educated our audience. I felt safer just from this conversation!
