This week, we’re bringing you a special conversation from our recent FSC Life Insurance Conference in Sydney. This is an annual event which brings together about 300 delegates from the life insurance sector.

This opening session from the conference covers perhaps the most important thing in the sector at the moment – the Life Insurance Code of Practice.

The purpose of the Life Insurance Code is to raise service standards across the industry. It’s due to commence for all FSC life insurers at the start of July this year.

The Chair of this panel is Richard Batten from Minter Ellison.

He’s joined by ASIC Deputy Chairman Peter Kell, Special Counsel at Herbert Smith Freehills, Claire Machin, as well as Principal Solicitor at the Financial Rights Legal Centre, Alexandra Kelly.
