Trump Admin Formally Ends Biden’s War on Gas Stoves
The Consumer Product Safety Commission is formally ending a review that it initiated during the Biden administration to assess the potential health risks posed by gas-powered stovetops. In a statement to the Washington Free Beacon, Consumer Product Safety Commission acting chairman Peter Feldman said he considers the matter “concluded” and emphasized that the federal government should not interfere with consumer choice. Feldman’s comments effectively put an end to a years-long process that critics feared would lead to a broad ban on gas stoves.““I became Acting Chairman of the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission in January 2025, shortly after President Trump’s inauguration,” he continued. “So long as I have a say in the matter, the CPSC is out of the gas-stoves-banning business. The agency has no plans to advance such a rule.”EPA Chief Lee Zeldin Pledges to Recover $20 Billion Lost by Biden Administration for Climate Projects

Rep. Jan Schakowsky Suggests Women Might Not Pursue Jobs in Manufacturing Because “Man” is in the Name (Video)
Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) pushed a bizarre explanation for why women might not pursue jobs in manufacturing.Schakowsky made her remarks on Wednesday during a Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade subcommittee hearing entitled “AI in Manufacturing: Securing American Leadership in Manufacturing and the Next Generation of Technologies.”Schakowsky suggested that perhaps the reason fewer women choose a career in manufacturing is that the term has the word “man” in it.https://twitter.com/libsoftiktok/status/1889833714974416938?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1889833714974416938%7Ctwgr%5E405aa74609e691f5897438e7cd78045186bc95f1%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thegatewaypundit.com%2F2025%2F02%2Frep-jan-schakowsky-suggests-women-might-not-pursue%2F

Fed Under Fire for “Debanking” Rules as Powell Promises a Rewrite
Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell pledged on Tuesday to revise language in a Fed manual that instructs reserve bank officials to consider whether a financial institution’s leadership engages in “controversial commentary or activities” when reviewing applications for payment system access. This provision, highlighted by Senator Cynthia Lummis during a recent hearing, has drawn criticism from the Wyoming Republican, who argues that the Fed is unfairly limiting certain institutions’ access to banking services. The debate over “debanking”—the exclusion of individuals and businesses from the financial system—has gained traction, particularly within the cryptocurrency sector.Addressing concerns raised by the Senate Banking Committee, Powell acknowledged growing reports of debanking incidents and expressed unease over the trend. “I too, am troubled by the quantity of these reports,” Powell stated in his testimony before the committee. He suggested that some banks might be erring on the side of caution, reluctant to engage with customers whose activities could raise compliance risks, particularly concerning anti-money laundering regulations. “One theory is that banks are just very risk averse,” he noted.A section of the Fed manual states that reserve bank officials should evaluate the conduct of financial institutions and their leadership to determine whether affiliation with them presents “undue reputational risk.” It also asks whether an institution’s leadership is linked to “controversial commentary or activities.” However, the manual does not define what qualifies as “controversial commentary.”During his testimony, Powell remarked that he and his colleagues were “struck” by the increasing number of cases in which individuals reported being excluded from the financial system. He assured lawmakers that the Fed was “determined to take a fresh look” at the matter.Source: reclaimthenet.org

Trump wants interest rate cuts. The market isn’t buying it.
Just before the release of Wednesday’s monthly consumer price report, President Donald Trump called for lower interest rates in a post on his Truth Social platform.“Interest Rates should be lowered, something which would go hand in hand with upcoming Tariffs!!! Lets Rock and Roll, America!!!” he wrote.https://twitter.com/BitcoinMagazine/status/1889762545809973683
For purposes of this United States Policy, we will consider Countries that use the VAT System, which is far more punitive than a Tariff, to be similar to that of a Tariff. Sending merchandise, product, or anything by any other name through another Country, for purposes of unfairly harming America, will not be accepted. In addition, we will make provision for subsidies provided by Countries in order to take Economic advantage of the United States. Likewise, provisions will be made for Nonmonetary Tariffs and Trade Barriers that some Countries charge in order to keep our product out of their domain or, if they do not even let U.S. businesses operate. We are able to accurately determine the cost of these Nonmonetary Trade Barriers. It is fair to all, no other Country can complain and, in some cases, if a Country feels that the United States would be getting too high a Tariff, all they have to do is reduce or terminate their Tariff against us. There are no Tariffs if you manufacture or build your product in the United States. For many years, the U.S. has been treated unfairly by other Countries, both friend and foe. This System will immediately bring Fairness and Prosperity back into the previously complex and unfair System of Trade. America has helped many Countries throughout the years, at great financial cost. It is now time that these Countries remember this, and treat us fairly – A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD FOR AMERICAN WORKERS. I have instructed my Secretary of State, Secretary of Commerce, Secretary of the Treasury, and United States Trade Representative (USTR) to do all work necessary to deliver RECIPROCITY to our System of Trade!
