This week on the show I delve into Italian mafia boss Paolo DiLauro. Paolo was a Camorra boss in Naples. He ran a clan after assassinating his boss in the early 80's. By the early 90's he operated the largest open air drug market in Europe making hundreds of millions in the process and no one knew who he was. John Stanfa was an old school Sicilian mobster who emigrated to the US in the 1960's. He began his career as a fairly lowly mobster before becoming a driver for Philly mob boss Angelo Bruno. After serving prison time in the 80's, Stanfa found a spot to wiggle his way in power of the Philly Mob and it would eventually lead to a war on the streets of Philadelphia between two rival factions, one led by Stanfa and one led by Philly upstart gangster Joey Merlino. Gregory Scarpa Jr was a mobster in the Colombo Crime Family. He followed in the footsteps of his gangster father Colombo lunatic Greg Scarpa Jr into the Mafia and learned how to kill and steal. Greg Jr would cultivate a very lucrative drug business and allegedly take part in murders. In the end though, his crimes put him in prison for a long time and during his time inside, domestic and international terrorists started ferrying him messages.
