We'll take a brief look at this week in History and the News.

I will share a personal story of an unexpected event that happened to me just recently and how having a few simple items and pre-planning in place helped to resolve the issue.

This Saturday, one of my Grandsons and I had a small campfire for roasting marshmallows.

This is a great time to practice fire making skills with different materials and discussing the 3 elements needed to make a fire.  This fire, we made the pyramid fire and we will talk about this type of fire.

 

We also watched "Castaway" and we talked about what he did good and how could he have been better prepared. I think this could be a great show to watch and break down what we can learn from the experience and how small items could have helped.
