When an on-the-job accident left Jeff Griffin paralyzed from the waist down 16 years ago, his dream of becoming a football star came to an abrupt halt. The reality that simple things like walking, playing football, and riding a motorcycle were suddenly out of the question overwhelmed Griffin at the onset. “One moment I was in the best shape of my life, the next I needed three nurses to help me out of bed,” he said. “I had a few moments in the beginning where I felt like life was crashing down on me…but then decided to take every day as an opportunity to live life the best I can.”
