The Parable of the Shrewd Manager is a particularly difficult parable to understand relative to Jesus' other parables. It's not so much that this story is taken out of context, but rather is just plain confusing. Taking a look at the context around this story should help us understand this passage a little more clearly and discover what applications we can take away from it.
