In Matthew 22:1–14, Jesus tells the parable of a king who prepared a great wedding feast for his son and invited many people, but they refused to come. The invitation was not ordinary—it was an invitation from the King, yet people allowed their businesses, possessions, and personal interests to become more important than the feast. This is a powerful picture of how we can treat God today. God has prepared something beautiful for us and continually calls us into His presence, but sometimes we are too busy, too distracted, or too comfortable to respond. The problem is not that God has stopped inviting us; the question is whether we are willing to stop what is keeping us away and answer His call. When the king finally opened the invitation to everyone, both good and bad were brought into the feast. But one man came without the proper wedding garment and was thrown out. This reminds us that accepting God's invitation is more than simply showing up—it requires a changed heart and a life that reflects the One who has called us. We cannot claim to belong to Christ while refusing to let Christ transform us. The door of grace is open, the invitation has gone out, and there is room at the table—but we must respond in faith, surrender, and obedience. God is calling you today. Don't allow the things of this world to make you miss what Heaven has prepared for you. The invitation is in your hands; how will you respond?
