Nobody wants to be in an abusive relationship. Yet, how do so many people land in one. For me, the main ingredients were politeness and inexperience. Both were exploited by Todd. Today I speak openly to my young daughters about how people should treat you. What are boundaries? And what do you do when someone crosses them? This dialogue with my daughters will hopefully stop the cycle.
