This week we discuss Parashat Bamidbar (Numbers 1:1 - 4:20), starting off with a famous debate between the Pharisees and the Sadducees about when to start counting the Omer after Passover, which determines when Shavuot actually begins. We also discuss some Hebraic linguistics and the importance of being more then just a number, and how this relates to this weeks portion. Finally we end this weeks addition of Torah Topics with an intriguing question about the Prophets, and the favor God bestows upon His people when they follow after His will and His Torah.
