The United Nations Convention on Psychotropic Substances 1971 is an international treaty that governments are violating every time they fail to protect foster care and other children from excessive and unwarranted exposure to psychiatric drugs. However, foster care kids are often prescribed drugs for “behavioral control.” About 42% of all kids in foster care in the US are given three or more mood-altering drugs. This week's guest is Beverly Gardner, a Foster parent on a mission to stop these violations against children within the Foster Care system.
