Our podcast is about parent involvement in their school's education. There were only two students working on this, Keila and myself. You'll hear both of our voices as well as the voice of Lara McCafferty, a parent and instructor at Lee College, Eileen McCafferty, an IMPACT Early College High School student and Lara's daughter, and Mrs. Schoppe, the AVID I coordinator at IMPACT Early College High School. The production tools we used were an iPad and the app Garageband. In this podcast we defined parent involvement and listed barriers that prevent parents from being as supportive as possible. We also got our interviewees to provide advice for parents and we shared research done regarding the subject.
