But they don’t. And raising healthy children is a challenge! In my eight-year journey to date, I’ve had questions I floated to friends, obsessed over in my mind, seriously doubted my abilities, and now, I’m seeking professional help. I took your questions about helping your child through a separation/divorce, parenting them without a father, navigating their fears, picking a “parenting style” that works, and worrying if my child was “normal” or suffering from anxiety or ADHD. If you’ve ever questioned any of those things, you’ll want to hear Dr. Sabo’s take.
Jason M. Sabo, Ph.D., is a pediatric psychologist with Lee Health Pediatric Behavioral Health Program. Dr. Sabo earned his Master of Psychology and Doctor of Psychology at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He completed his internship at the Miami-Dade Department of Human Resources and his fellowship at the Ohio Department of Youth Services. He and his family moved to Florida in 2011, where he joined a private practice. In 2017 he joined Lee Health to help develop their behavioral health program. Dr. Sabo has a clinical specialty in attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, behavioral problems, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and violent and aggressive behaviors.
