Seniors can turn back the hands of time.
You senior citizens who’re thinking about taking up exercise in order to give more years to your life, but you don’t know what to do? Studies say that intensive aerobic exercise is the answer. It not only reverses the effects of aging at a cellular level, but improves the quality of your skeletal muscles, something that older adults generally lack. How does this happen? Intense aerobic exercise creates new proteins. If you couple the aerobics with some resistance and strength training such as using those huge rubber bands, weights or machines that cause you to push or pull, you’ll improve your lean body mass, your overall muscle mass, insulin sensitivity, heart and lung health. Just because you’re older doesn’t mean that you can’t exercise at home or the gym with all of the beautiful, young bodies. Show them what it means to grow older and still be fabulous.
