There is so much going on in our classes -- developmentally, emotionally, socially, physically, cognitively and musically ... and because we're very much in the moment with our children while we're there, I don't get a chance to share this treasure trove with them! It is simply amazing the way movement and dance impact every part of development: physically, cognitively, socially and more! We highlight some of the ways we move with children and the wonderful benefits of hopping, swinging, bouncing, playing instruments and dancing together.

What do bouncing, rocking, and tapping have to do with my child's brain? (And by the way, why should I bring my child to a baby class?)

ALL of your baby's sensations are coordinated through movement. In fact, from birth - 7, movement is the primary way that your child receives and processes information and learning.

This is a (very) brief overview of how steady beat activities affect your child's developing brain and some specifics of how we do this in class.

We want to teach our babies so much -- to fill them with information so they'll be smart, and ready for school. But is that the best approach?
